Mrs. Kogelschatz has been teaching for 16 years.  She has worked in the Florida public school system since 1996 (taking off four years to stay at home with her children) in Seminole and Highlands County.  Mrs. Kogelschatz has taught all grade levels from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade in multiple subject areas.  Her most recent experience was a high school Algebra 2 and college readiness program teacher.

Mrs. Kogelschatz is married to Rick, an assistant principal at Cracker Trail Elementary, and has three children.  Garrett and Sophia attend Heartland Christian.  Jillian is in K-3.  Mrs. Kogelschatz is a graduate of Sebring High School and has lived in Sebring with her family since 1997.  She and her family attend Grace Bible Church. 

Mrs. Kogelschatz believes in the power of education.  She continually strives for innovative ways to teach all students and encourage all students to do their best. She is serving HCA as Interim Director along with Academic Dean.  She also teaches STEM Exploration and Algebra 1.

Christy Williams

Mrs. Williams was born in Florida and has been a Highlands Country resident for most of her life. She is married to Mike, a certified welder at Pro-Weld in Avon Park.  She worked as an administrative assistant for a large underground development company for over four years.  She became a stay at home mom with the birth of her first daughter Kailtlynn in 2008 and remained home after the birth of her second daughter Mackayla in 2011. Kaitlynn, 8, attended HCA starting in VPK and is currently in 3rd grade. Mackayla, 5, has also attended HCA since VPK and is currently in kindergarten.  Mrs. Williams joined HCA as the Administrative Assistant in August of 2015 after volunteering the previous year. She has recently moved to Office Manager- handling finance, human resources and enrollment.

Mrs. Williams enjoys spending time with her family, reading, shopping, and saltwater fishing.

Christi Bobo

Mrs. Bobo has been married to Todd for almost 24 years.  They have six children...(and in the process of adopting numer seven). They have boy/girl twins- our son is married, and our daughter in school in Kansas. We also have a daughter in high school, twin girls in middle school, and a son in elementary. 

Mrs. Bobo loves to run and workout (it helped pay for college!) and all things creative.
 
Mrs. Bobo has taught English, writing, speech, drama, and journalism and is working on recertification in current subject areas. She has coached at the high school and collegiate levels. She taught at the secondary level then took time off after giving birth to her second set of twins. She has always worked with children either as paid employment or volunteer work in community and church activities.
 
Mrs. Bobo also has a part time job working as a companion to a woman in a memory unit. She has a beautul mind that is partly on "lock down." She is a blessing to Mrs. Bobo and her family.
 
Mrs. Bobo loves Jesus and loves any opportunity to creatively and defintively share Him with others! "I believe that I am a sinner and I am saved by His blood through grace! I am excited about the gifts and talents He has given me and I know that through Him everything is good. We are here for His glory!"

Gary Brown

Coach Brown served over 20 years in the United States Navy. First serving under the Reagan administration and participating in Operation Enduring Freedom as well as several other operations including the first Gulf war. He was honorably discharged to pursue a career in civilian law enforcement. While serving as a Deputy Sheriff and School Resource Officer in Hendry County Coach Brown was called to finish his college degree. Moving his family to Graceville Florida he attended The Baptist College of Florida graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor degree in Theology.

Coach Brown pastored Esto Baptist Church, and taught martial arts for a few years before being called back into the Navy after 9/11. This second period of service was middle east centric with countless engagements and operations. After retirement he found opportunities to coach PAL football, serve as a Cub Scout Den Leader and Cub Master before moving to Sebring where he currently serves as Dean teaches High School History and Religion.

Miss Busko was born in west central Minnesota.  She attended Moorhead State University.  She has been teaching for 23 years in various schools throughout Florida.  Her interests include crafts, reading, writing, and cats.

Jennifer Bolin

Mrs. Bolin began teaching Math and Science to 4th and 5th graders at Heartland Christian in January 2017. Before joining the H.C.A. team, she spent more than three years in the education system in Highlands County including time as a 3rd grade teacher at Cracker Trail Elementary. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Bolin enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter as well as spending time in God's word.

Mrs. Dion has lived in Sebring for 24 years. She is married with two daughters, ages 19 and 13. Her husband, James, is an EMT working for Highlands County. They are members of First Baptist Church of Sebring. 
Mrs. Dion enjoys teaching and working with young people. She has a great love of literature, writing, and language arts and is excited to be able to share with the students at Heartland Christian.
 
Mrs. Dion has homeschooled her daughters for most of their education.  She also tutors students in elementary and high school in writing skills and reading.

Mrs. Dion is currently serving as a long term substitute for 5th grade.  She stepped in for a need immediately when the class needed a teacher.  She will continue to work with 5th grade through this school year.

Katy Fassler

Mrs. Fassler has lived in Sebring for 8 years, originally coming from Akron, Ohio. She is married with two daughters, ages 8 and 6. Her husband, Sean, is the Systems Administrator at Highlands County Clerk of Courts. They are members Grace Church and are very involved in Children's Ministry as well as the Great Commission Bible Institute. Mrs. Fassler loves to read, garden, cook, and read some more. 

Mrs. Fassler has attended the University of Akron and is a graduate of The Great Commission Bible Institute.  

Mrs. Fassler is currently serving as a long term substitute for 3rd grade.  She stepped in for a need immediately when the class needed a teacher.  She will continue to work with 3rd grade through this school year.

Mrs. Ford received Her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas on June 4, 1983.  She taught one year of middle school math in Silome Springs, AR, three years of 3rd – 6th grades (in one room) in Knoxville, TN and 1.5 years of preschool in Oak Ridge, Tn. There was a seven year span of being a nanny so that she could be with her daughters when they were young.  After moving to Sebring, Mrs. Ford, with daughters in tow, started teaching at Heartland Christian School.  She taught music for two years before moving to fifth grade.  Eight years later she finally passed and moved to middle and high school where she teaches math and science.  She has just completed her 20th year at Heartland and looks forward to many more years.

Ms. Rosario graduated from Herbert Lehman College in Bronx, New York.  Shortly after this, she worked as a service coordinator for about 6-years, assisting families with special needs population in New York City.  In 2009, Ms. Rosario moved to Avon Park, Florida to provide a better life for her family.  God opened up the door for her to work in a child care setting at ALPI in Frostproof, where she worked for one year as a caregiver for babies 8-18 months and then one year as a VPK teacher.  There, she has successfully met all education requirements to teach a VPK classroom.  She loves children and has been in the teaching ministry since the age of 15.

Mrs. Rosario is currently teaching Spanish 2, Spanish for middle school, elementary Spanish, and elementary music.

Mr. Morey has lived in Highlands County for 9 years. He is originally from Cairo, GA. He is married with a daughter and a son. His wife, Mandy, is a 5th grade teacher at Lake Country Elementary School in Lake Placid.

Mr. Morey is a graduate Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA.

Mr. Morey has been a pastor for 18 years and has served churches in Georgia, Louisiana, and Florida.

I come to HCA from the public school system. I have taught middle school students for the past 12 years, with the last 5 years being in the Social Studies/History department. I grew up in Sebring, married a Sebring man, moved to Avon Park in 1971. My children all came to this school when it was Sebring Christian School. I worked here in the early 1980s as a PE coach and a bus driver. It is very exciting for me to be back in this wonderful family. I look forward to teaching here and being able to help spread the love of Jesus throughout our community.

Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011

Briana Stanley Rosmarin teaches Course II math and Algebra II through her company Rosmarin Engineering’s sponsorship of Heartland Christian’s math department. With math being her favorite subject, Mrs. Rosmarin is very excited to guide students toward a deeper understanding of concepts.

Mrs. Rosmarin graduated from Sebring High School. She and her husband Josiah have lived in Sebring together since 2012, after previously living in Las Vegas and Boston. Together they own Rosmarin Engineering, a company that provides engineering and manufacturing solutions from robotics to consumer electronics.

Mrs. Van Note is a native Floridian from Hollywood.  She began working at Sebring Christian School in 1985 and taught K-3 for 9 years, K-4 for 10 years, and first grade for 6 years. Mrs. Van Note's goals are to instill each student with a love for learning and a good foundation in Phonics. She also desires to teach her students how much Jesus loves them and to love Jesus in return with all their heart, soul and mind.  She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management.

Mrs. Brandy Bobo has lived in Lake Placid for most of her life. She grew up in West Palm Beach, FL and move to Lake Placid when she was eighth years old. She has a unique story that has shaped her into who she is today.  She has experienced some very unhealthy situations that led her to live with Steven and Dana Phypers since the 6th grade.

She is married to Cannon Bobo, parents are Todd and Christi Bobo. He works for Highlands County EMS as an EMT. May 14th, 2017 will be there one year anniversary.  Brandy just recreantly graduated with her Associated in Business degree from South Florida State College and received a National Certification for QuickBooks. She plans to continue her education at Liberty University for a Bachelors degree in Accounting. 

Brandy enjoys being on the lake, spending time with our friends and family, doing fun projects in my craft room and exciting trips to Sea World.
