"Teaching at Heartland Christian Academy has been one of the greatest honors of my life. This school is a truly wonderful place to work with encouraging staff and a deep sense of community. It is a pleasure to come to work feeling supported and appreciated daily.

The most rewarding part of working at Heartland Christian Academy is the privilege and ability to focus on Jesus and the Bible in all areas of instruction. Incorporating my faith into learning— whether it’s math, reading, science, history, or the arts– makes the learning experience deeply meaningful and an opportunity to point to Christ and nurture a biblical worldview.

Teaching at Heartland Christian Academy is not just a job; it’s a ministry with eternal significance. I feel called to take every opportunity to reach students academically and spiritually. Being a part of a mission to point students to Jesus is an honor I cherish every day."

After spending years as a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling my daughters, I began to feel that it was time for them and me to transition into a new chapter. I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me to the right path. Then, He opened the door for me to join Heartland Christian Academy.

I started working in the front office as an Administrative Assistant, a role I enjoyed for two years. Just as I began to feel comfortable and settled, the Lord had another plan for me. He placed it in my heart to move into a teaching position. At first, I didn’t feel ready for such a significant shift. But God reminded me of His promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

With faith, I stepped out of my comfort zone and began becoming certified through LCS while teaching as a PE/ Spanish teacher. Throughout this journey, I prayed fervently, asking the Lord to grant me the opportunity to teach 2nd grade, a role I felt called to but kept between me and God.

In the summer of 2024, I received a phone call from the administration offering me the position of 2nd-grade teacher! It was a humbling and joyful moment, as I knew it was God answering a prayer I had not shared with anyone but Him.

Today, for God's glory, I am an LCS-certified teacher, teaching my amazing 2nd graders. Most importantly, I am walking in His purpose and feel blessed to be part of the Heartland Christian Academy family. I am proud to serve the Lord through teaching and to call myself a Lion.
